I heard about a group on Yahoo.com titled “Vote Without Papers.” I searched Yahoo groups, thinking it must be a joke and that no one in their right mind would create a group with that name. Much to my surprise, I found that this group, indeed, exists.

On the homepage, the group’s description says:

“This group will share information about how to VOTE WITHOUT PAPERS so as to affect US elections for the benefit of Hispanics.

YOU DO NOT NEED PAPERS TO VOTE IN THE UNITED STATES! If you vote, you can make a difference.

Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada.

Let us take this country as our own. VOTE!”

I joined under the assumed name Rita Calabez, still not convinced that it wasn’t a hoax. I portrayed myself as someone who was sympathetic to the “plight” of illegal aliens in the U.S.

Only one member, aside from "Rita Calabez," appeared to be pro-illegal alien. Her name is Marie Soto Lopez. This was Marie’s first post to the Yahoo group, Vote Without Papers:

The card is sent to address shown on utility bill in about 1 week later. Then later I moved to another address in another county and use the same procedure. Just showed them two utility bills. Her contempt for America and Americans became clearer with each subsequent post, as you can see here, here and here.

There was some discussion in the group that she was a fake, bent on pulling everyone’s legs. I don’t think so. Her profile is in Spanish and you can tell her posts are routed through online translators, resulting in the broken grammar which is so common when translating Spanish to English with a computer program.

Have fun reading Marie’s posts and the next time you think illegal aliens can’t vote in our elections, think again. Marie does….twice.

Guest" workers explained

Since hearing the plan for treating illegal immigrants as "guest"workers, I now have undergone a complete reversal in my understanding of the proper meaning of words.

I stupidly believed the definition of "guest" is one who is invited. Now I'm told this is no longer correct.

For instance, if a burglar breaks into my home, he really becomes a guest who is only looking for a better life.

Because he broke in for that reason, I must accept the obligation to provide him with living quarters, health care, education,and transportation.

He has as much "right" to my house as I do, but I have to pay taxes -he doesn't; because the government doesn't really know he is a "guest" in my house and I am not allowed to turn him in.

He will get preferential treatment because he is a "guest" in my house, yet I can not say anything against him.

If I do vocalize my feelings, I must attend "sensitivity" training because I just don't understand how to accept my "guest" and his customs/religion/culture, etc.

I am also required to learn his language so that we may communicate. It is not necessary for him to learn mine- because he is a "guest" in my house.

I am not allowed to wave my flag, but he may fly or wave his flag anywhere he chooses, because he is my "guest".

I am required to subsidize his family and provide for his family's needs.

When I get paid, I must give a portion of it to him in the form of welfare and food stamps so he can get his food and supplies free and at reduced prices.

Because any money he makes is all his, he can buy the luxuries for his family that I can not afford for my family, butI have to be ok with that because he is now a resident in my house.

SOUTH TOLEDO -- A south Toledo man is using a replica of the Statue of Liberty to let the world know his thoughts on illegal immigration. Art Bollinger says he got this idea from an e-mail he received, and decided to duplicate the picture.

From the front, you can see the Statue of Liberty. From behind, it shows Lady Liberty's behind, in a thong bikini. The nearby sign says "Kiss my American Ass."

Bollinger tells News 11 he will accept anyone into this country as long as they come here legally, but he has no patience for those who sneak in. "You don't have rights. You are here illegally," said Bollinger of the people who cross the border without permission. "If I break the law, I go to prison. You break the law and the American government says they'll kiss your behind. No. That's ridiculous."

The US Senate bill passed last week would tighten the border, offer a guest worker programs to bring in new foreign workers and provide a chance at citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants already in the country. The US House bill generally is limited to border enforcement and cracking down on employers who hire illegal immigrants. Negotiators from both chambers will try to reconcile the differences and agree on a compromise.

Bollinger says his wife is from Russia and he had to jump through all kinds of hoops and pay for the process of her becoming a US citizen. He feels everyone else should do the same.

US Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., answered a flat "no'' when asked Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press'' whether he would accept any legislation that would put illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship. Sensenbrenner said the United States 20 years ago passed a bill that allowed illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S. and become American citizens. He said that only increased the flow of illegal immigrants.

US Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., said the Senate took a comprehensive approach to dealing with illegal immigration and he took issue with Sensenbrenner's characterization of the Senate's approach. "Amnesty. That's nonsense,'' Hagel said. Sen. Bill Frist, R-Tenn., said he, but not necessarily the Senate, could accept a phased-in compromise: enforcement first, then moving to citizenship issues. "I personally would, because I think, first and foremost, you've got to lock down the borders. You can't allow this hemorrhaging of millions of people,'' he said on "Fox News Sunday.''

Under the Senate bill, illegal immigrants who have been in the country at least five years can continue working and eventually become legal permanent residents and citizens after paying at least $3,250 in fines, fees and back taxes and learning English. Illegal immigrants in the U.S. between two and five years would be required to go to a point of entry at the border and file an application to return. Those in the country less than two years would have to leave.

Paul Revere riding into the 21st century

On the night of April 18, 1775, Paul Revere rode his horse from Charlestown to Lexington to warn American forces of advancing British troops. The poet Longfellow thrust the legendary ride into folklore with, "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere." Other unknown patriots also rode to warn of the danger facing the American militia. Their efforts promoted a successful campaign that allowed the creation of the United States of America.

After Americans won their freedom, James Madison, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and other founding fathers created this nation and its unique Republican form of governance that has stood the test of time for 230 years. Never before in the history of the world have so many from every walk of life enjoyed so much personal freedom to work, worship and pursue their right to happiness.

However, in the past 25 years, as the world became desperate with tragic consequences to people around the world, America has become the destination of millions of legal and illegal migrants. At first, Americans didn't think much of 1.1 to 1.5 million people migrating into their expansive, rich country.

But today, immigration, both legal and illegal exceeds 4,000,000 annually. The United States absorbs more immigrants than all other countries combined. Over 3,000,000 of those migrants, according to Time Magazine, break over America's borders unlawfully. In recent years, their numbers exceed 20,000,000 on U.S. soil. They disrupt school systems with dozens of languages, carry diseases that infect America's citizens, create turmoil through crime, drug trade and cultural incompatibilities.

Illegal aliens colonize, upset and brandish incompatible ideas that work against the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law. Ample consequences manifest in Paris, France; Amsterdam, Holland; Madrid, Spain; Bergen, Norway and London, England. More sobering, the line of immigrants from Third World countries grows by 85 million annually. In other words, the line never ends. Nothing is solved. First World host countries suffer grave and growing consequences.

America stands at a crossroads. It either controls its sovereignty by maintaining its borders or it suffers the consequences of massive population overload, balkanization, accelerating crime, educational breakdown, water shortages, economic ruin and loss of the Middle Class. In other words, the United States may become another Third World country.

The 21st century American crisis quickens! When the rate of immigration exceeds the rate of assimilation, it's a recipe for the breakdown of any civilization. It's creating linguistic and cultural apartheid, and a separated, and antagonistic non-citizen class of disenfranchised people. This invasion is aided and abetted at the highest levels of our own government leading all the way to the president and Congress.

Paul Revere warned his fellow patriots. He and his fellow militia succeeded. They carried out their duty to God and their country--in their time.

Therefore, like Paul Revere in 1775, new patriots step forth such as the Minutemen in Arizona and new chapters forming in all states. Modern day sentinels stand guard at web sites and computer terminals across the nation.

Like those who served to bring this nation into being, today's patriots must ride to warn the nation in the early years of the 21st century. In the summer of 2006, please welcome brave men and women on modern day iron steeds that ride through hamlets, towns, cities and states to warn citizens of the ongoing invasion of illegal aliens across America’s borders.

These modern-day Paul Reveres carry instructions on "How to Stop the Illegal Alien Invasion" and will visit all 48 states and capitols on their way to Washington, DC. They ride to warn you and your loved ones. Yes, they ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles instead of horses--but their message echoes Revere's ride.

Outrageous!

Read this story from Theresa of TnRIP about a criminal illegal alien claiming more innocent American's lives!

I began following this story the day after the murders because Lori Ann (the mother in this story) was formerly cleaning the home of a friend of mine's sister and she also worked at a day-care owned by one of our family members who lives in Antioch. Once the story about the possible involvement of Jose' Sosa was made public, I learned that Lori Ann had notified authorities on SEVERAL occasions about the illegals living next door but could never get I.C.E. nor the metro police to intercede. Now, thanks to the "catch and release policies practiced by the U.S. Border Patrol and the in-action by both local organizations, she and her daughter, are DEAD!

Three fingerprints link suspect to stabbing deaths, detective testifies

Three fingerprints link 16-year-old Jose Sosa to last month's stabbing deaths of Lori Ann and Adrian Rountree in south Nashville, police detectives testified on Friday. The mother and daughter were found dead in their Creekside Drive home on April 25. Sosa, who lived next door, was arrested Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. Police offered no motive for the killings during Friday's hearing and said there were no witnesses who had ever seen Sosa with the victims. "I kept asking if for any reason he had been inside the house, and he said, 'No,' " detective Marvin Rivera said. "He kept saying 'No.' "However, detective Wil Nesbitt testified that at least one of Sosa's fingerprints was found inside the home. Two more fingerprints, one of them bloody, were found on a back door, Nesbitt said.

Lori Ann Rountree, 44, received about 37 wounds that punctured her stomach, heart, liver and major arteries. Adrian, 16, had about 46 wounds to the lungs and major arteries. Although there were signs of a struggle at the scene, police said they did not notice any wounds on Sosa on the day they found the bodies. Nesbitt also did not see any signs of a forced entry into the house, he said. Sosa was ordered to remain in juvenile detention until a June 23 hearing, when Assistant District Attorney Jeff Burks said he will ask to have Sosa tried as an adult.

After Friday's hearing, Juan Sosa, the defendant's brother, raised his voice and began saying in Spanish that the police had no proof against his brother. Rivera told him to step outside the courtroom and then arrested him on a charge of disorderly conduct. Juan Sosa said in an interview on Thursday that his brother was with other people when the slaying occurred and could not have done it.

Arrest made in murder of Antioch mother, daughter

A teenage in the United States illegally is now charged with murdering a Nashville woman and her daughter. Jose Sosa, 16, was arrested and charged on Thursday with the murders of his former neighbors, Lori and Adrian Rountree. They were brutally stabbed to death in their Antioch home in April 2006. Police say they found a finger print of Sosa at the crime scene that matched one the border patrol had on file of him from last year. They say he had been caught coming into the United States illegally, detained and fingerprinted and then later deported. However, he apparently re-entered the country at a later time. Sosa is currently being held in the Juvenile Detention Center.

Also of note this week: President Bush has requested air-time to address the Nation on Monday evening, May 15 at 8:00 p.m (EST) and 7:00 p.m. (CST) to push for his 'guest-worker' (read: amnesty) plan!! He will probably give some time to voicing support for securing our borders and then launch into his (now-infamous) 'doing jobs Americans won't do" rhetoric. The speech is expected to last approximately 20 minutes.

For the President to feel the need to actually address the Nation on this issue we can only surmise that our calls, emails and faxes are having an effect on those in D.C. and we MUST NOT LET UP!!! Cingular pulls "La Migra" ringtone

Cingular Wireless has removed a ringtone listed for sale on its Web site called "La Migra" and apologized for its offensive nature. In it, a siren is heard, followed by a male voice that says in a southern accent: “Calmate, calmate, this is la migra. Por favor, put the oranges down and step away from the cell phone. I repeat-o, put the oranges down and step away from the telephone-o. I’m deporting you back home-o.”

Walt Sharp, a spokesman for AT&T, part owner of Cingular, would not immediately comment on the product.“Let me do some inquiring,” he said after listening to it. Latino issues activists from Brownsville to Washington, D.C. were outraged Tuesday, when they learned Cingular was selling what they considered a racist product.“It’s horribly offensive and a disgusting thing,” said Brent Wilkes, national executive director of the League of United Latin American Citizens.The ringtone was no longer available at 5:45 p.m.

After learning about the ringtone, Wilkes said he called AT&T Inc., named “America’s Most Admired Telecommunications Company” by Fortune magazine in February, demanding it be taken off the Web site.

Cingular officials seemed to be caught off guard by their own Web site’s content.Mark Siegel, the company’s spokesman was nearly speechless after listening to the $2.49 ringtone.“Oh my goodness, oh my goodness,” he said.

Like AT&T’s Walt Sharp, Siegel said he needed to do some research on the ringtone before offering comments.In a later interview Tuesday, Siegel said, “We’re in the process of pulling the ringtone and needless to say, we deeply regret and apologize for it ever being there in the first place. The ringtone is blatantly offensive.” Siegel said the company is reviewing its process of screening ringtones which are created by “a combination of companies that we work with and in-house (staff). But ultimately, Cingular is accountable for it.”

LULAC’s Brent Wilkes was pleased with the company’s apology and that it removed the product from its Web site, but there were still larger issues, he said.“I don’t think (bigotry) is an official corporate policy, but there’s a legitimate question about corporate America crossing the line.” Wilkes thought it was “hippocritical” for Cingular to have a Hispanic public relations department and boast of treating customers with respect, while at the same time selling a ringtone telling an immigrant to “put down the oranges.”

U.S. tipping Mexico to Minuteman patrols

While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen -- and telling the Mexican government where they are.

According to three documents on the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Web site, the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrants -- and if and when violence is used against border crossers.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman confirmed the notification process, describing it as a standard procedure meant to reassure the Mexican government that migrants' rights are being observed.

"It's not a secret where the Minuteman volunteers are going to be," Mario Martinez said Monday.

"This ... simply makes two basic statements -- that we will not allow any lawlessness of any type, and that if an alien is encountered by a Minuteman or arrested by the Minuteman, then we will allow that government to interview the person."

Minuteman members were not so sanguine about the arrangement, however, saying that reporting their location to Mexican officials nullifies their effectiveness along the border and could endanger their lives.

"Now we know why it seemed like Mexican officials knew where we were all the time," said Chris Simcox, founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. "It's unbelievable that our own government agency is sending intelligence to another country. They are sending intelligence to a nation where corruption runs rampant, and that could be getting into the hands of criminal cartels.

"They just basically endangered the lives of American people."

Officials with the Mexican consulate in Washington, D.C., could not be reached for comment Monday.

Martinez said reporting the location of immigrant apprehensions to consulate representatives is common practice if an illegal immigrant requests counsel or believes they have been mistreated.
"Once an illegal alien is apprehended, they can request counsel," he said. "We have to give their counsel the information about their apprehension, and that includes where they are apprehended, whether a Minuteman volunteer spotted them or a citizen."
Martinez said Mexico's official perception of the civilian groups is that they are vigilantes, a belief the Border Patrol hoped to allay by entering into the cooperative agreement.
One of the documents on the Web site, "Actions of the Mexican Government in Relation to the Activities of Vigilante Groups," states that Mexican consulate representatives stay in close contact with Border Patrol chiefs to ensure the safety of migrants trying to enter the U.S., those being detained and the actions of all "vigilantes" along the border.

"The Mexican consul in Presidio also contacted the chief of the Border Patrol in the Marfa Sector to solicit his cooperation in case they detect any activity of `vigilantes,' and was told to immediately contact the consulate if there was," according to the document.

"Presidio" refers to Presidio County, Texas, which is in the Big Bend region and a gateway to northern Mexico.

The document also describes a meeting with San Diego Border Patrol sector chief Darryl Griffen.
"(Griffen) said that the Border Patrol will not permit any violence or any actions contrary to the law by the groups, and he is continuously aware of (the volunteer organizations') operations," according to the document. "Mr. Griffen reiterated to the undersecretary his promise to notify the General Consul right away when the vigilantes detain or participate in the detention of any undocumented Mexicans."

The documents specifically named the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps and its patrols, which began monitoring Arizona's southern border in April 2005, as well as Friends of the Border Patrol, a Chino-based nonprofit.

TJ Bonner, president of the National Border Patrol Council, a union representing more than 10,000 Border Patrol agents, said agents have complained for years about the Mexican consulate's influence over the agency.

"It worries me (that the Mexican government) seems to be unduly influencing our enforcement policies. That's not a legitimate role for any foreign nation," Bonner said, though he added, "It doesn't surprise me."

Border Patrol agents interviewed by the Daily Bulletin said they have been asked to report to sector headquarters the location of all civilian volunteer groups, but to not file the groups' names in reports if they spot illegal immigrants.

"Last year an internal memo notified all agents not to give credit to Minuteman volunteers or others who call in sightings of illegal aliens," said one agent, who spoke on the condition he not be identified. "We were told to list it as a citizen call and leave it at that. Many times, we were told not to go out to Minuteman calls."

The document also mentions locations of field operations of Friends of the Border Patrol, which patrolled the San Diego sector from June to November 2005. Mexican officials had access to the exact location of the group founded by Andy Ramirez, which ran its patrols from the Rough Acre Ranch, a private property in McCain Valley.

Ramirez said that for safety reasons, he disclosed the location of his ranch patrol only to San Diego Border Patrol and law enforcement officials. The group did not apprehend or spot any undocumented migrants in that area.

"We did not release this information ... to the media or anyone else," Ramirez said. "We didn't want to publicize that information. But there it is, right on the Mexican government's Web site, and our government gave it to them."

Dear Assistant Secretary Myers,

There is a report in the Indianapolis Star today that area McDonald’s restaurants are considering cutting back on service on May 1 due to employee boycotts planned that day in support of legalizing illegal aliens. If McDonald’s is concerned that they might not have enough workers to fulfill current production, it follows that many of these workers might be illegal aliens who will be boycotting their jobs that day.

I assume that the message that America is to receive from these boycotts is that if “comprehensive” immigration reform does NOT include a process to legalize those who are currently residing and working illegally in the United States, commerce would be adversely affected. And it would be adversely affected as the result of the Administration enforcing the alien employment laws that have been in effect in 1986.

That being the case, the boycotts would only be relevant if a significant portion of those taking part were actually going to be affected by the enforcement of the current immigration laws. Therefore, a significant portion of those taking part in the boycotts SHOULD actually be affected by the enforcement of the current immigration laws.
I believe it might be helpful in the execution of your duties as immigration enforcement officials to look into the hiring practices of McDonald’s and other such places of employment that are temporarily closing due to lack of workers on the day of the boycott.

One of the big problems in America today is that if you have the nerve to say anything derogatory about any group of people (except Christians) you are going to be screamed at by the media and called a racist, a bigot and anything else they can think of to call you.

Well I’ve been pounded by the media before and I’m still rockin’ and rollin’ and when it comes to speaking the truth I fear not. And the truth is that the gutless, gonadless, milksop politicians are just about to sell out the United States of America because they don’t have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to the face reality.

And reality is that we would never allow any other group of people to have 12 million illegals in this country and turn around and say, ”Oh it’s ok, ya'll can stay here if you’ll just allow us to slap your wrist.”

And I know that some of you who read this column are saying“Well what’s wrong with that?” I’ll tell you what’s wrong with it. These people could be from Mars as far as we know. We don’t know who they are, where they are or what they’re up to and the way the Congress is going we’re not going to. Does this make sense?

Labor force you say? We already subsidize corporate agriculture as it is, must we subsidize their labor as well? If these people were from Haiti would we be so fast to turn a blind eye to them or if they were from Somalia or Afghanistan? I think not.

All the media shows us are pictures of hard working Hispanics who have crossed the border just to try to better their life. They don’t show you pictures of the Feds rounding up members of MS 13, the violent gang who came across the same way the decent folks did. They don’t tell you about the living conditions of the Mexican illegals some fat cat hired to pick his crop.

I want to make two predictions. No. 1: This situation is going to grow and fester until it erupts in violence on our streets while the wimps in Washington drag their toes in the dirt and try to figure how many tons of political hay they can make to the acre.

No 2: Somebody is going to cross that border with some kind of weapon of mass destruction and set it off in a major American city after which there will be a backlash such as this country has never experienced and the Capitol building in Washington will probably tilt as Congressmen and Senators rush to the other side of the issue.

I don’t know about you but I would love to see just one major politician stand up and say, “I don’t care who I make mad and I don’t care how many votes I lose, this is a desperate situation and I’m going to lead the fight to get it straightened out.”

I don’t blame anybody for wanting to come to America, but if you don’t respect our immigration laws why should you respect any others. And by the way, this is America and our flag has stars and stripes. Please get that other one out of my face. Pray for our troops. What do you think?

After Action Report
Protest at the Offices of Senators Lugar and Bayh
April 28, 2006

The day started off early for us. A call from a producer at WISH TV Channel 8 the day before brought Mom and I to the front of the Senators’ offices at about 4:50 a.m. on the day of the protest. How often does an opportunity to speak about our issues without opposition knock on the door or window? Quite literally NEVER, so this was an opportunity that had to be seized, and we did. IFIRE member Ron Yeary also attended the early morning interviews as the producer suggested two IFIRE representatives would be preferable to one. Unfortunately, the reporter didn’t interview Ron and, at this point in time, I’m still not sure why. At any rate, it was great to have him there for moral support and to talk to between interviews. He is an intelligent, articulate, and true gentleman and is just as passionate about this issue as anyone I know. We finished up “at the site” at around 6:10 a.m. Ron went home while Mom and I went to my house so I could get the kids off to school and, hopefully, catch a nap.

We didn’t plan to head back downtown until around 11 a.m. However, once word came that the police would allow counter-protesters to set up in front of the offices if they were the first to arrive, we decided we’d better get down there even earlier. We left at around 10:15 a.m. When we arrived, Cheree, Greg and another gentleman who rode with them were already there.

We set up shop, so to speak, and people started showing up left and right then. We had a lady from South Bend, a gentleman from Michigan City, several from the Seymour/Columbus area, a new IFIRE member and her husband from Peru, and a member from Terre Haute. There was even a gentleman from New York who took time away from the firefighter convention he was attending at the RCA Dome to stand with us and take pictures. I’m not sure where he heard about the protest, but he agreed with what we were doing and I’m glad he came.

There were people who showed up after hearing about the protest on the WISH TV morning news show. One lady kept her son home from school after seeing the news, looked up the protest information on the internet, and drove downtown from the east side of Indy. She gave a passionate interview to Derrik Thomas of Channel 6 news about how her job was outsourced and she has no insurance. She has heart problems and will, at times, refrain from going to the hospital when she probably should go because she HAS to pay her medical bills, unlike illegal aliens. She cannot run or hide from her obligations as illegals do and she doesn’t qualify for Medicaid.

Another lady came after hearing the news of the protest, just to hold a sign and take a stand. I was almost driven to tears by these brave people and actually choked up after speaking to the lady there with her son. I am so thankful and appreciative of their efforts and their willingness to stand with us. People like them, people who have had more than enough and come out to say so, are the ones who will help this country the most.

Not much negative happened. As is always the case, those who had negative comments made them in drive-by fashion. One lady came by, taking time enough away from her cell phone conversation to screech, “Why are you people so filled with hatred?! Why do you hate everyone?! This is ridiculous!!” as she continued a brisk pace along the sidewalk. Of course, those who heard her replied saying we didn’t hate anyone. As I look back, the only thing ridiculous about that entire scenario is that she was screeching about us “hating” people for simply suggesting our Senators uphold our laws as they swore to do, while she looked at, and spoke to, us with nothing short of hatred and contempt in her voice and in the look on her face. That, my friends, is called projection. If that lady actually took a moment to reflect, she might become horrified when she realized she was incorrectly chastising us for the behavior she was the only one to exhibit.

Several of us went in to meet with Senator Bayh’s staffer, Karen Raines, at 11:30. We took quite a few bricks with us, too.

These were only a few. We had two bags of bricks, plus the ones I carried in my arms.

The meeting was held in a conference room and it went pretty well. As soon as we entered the room and took seats, Cheree started speaking. She had prepared herself well. She passed information to Ms. Raines, all the while explaining what was covered in the material, pointing out the main issues she wanted to be known from each letter, report, and flyer. She handed over letters from constituents from around the state and, in all honestly, she totally blew me away. Her professionalism, articulation and calmness were all something to behold. I found myself watching her in admiration, wishing at that moment that I could be just like her. There is no doubt that Cheree could run any meeting in any boardroom in any industry or company if she wanted. Hoosiers are blessed to have this little powerhouse of a woman on their side! She took charge, directed the meeting from the very beginning and just simply amazed me.

Here she is, getting her material for Ms. Raines, speaking eloquently and calmly the whole time, never getting flustered or tongue-tied. I was in awe.

I don’t know how long the meeting lasted, but we all had our say. There were six of us in the room during the meeting. Ms. Raines took down Cheree’s information as well as certain points we wanted passed along to Senator Bayh. Cheree, Greg and others met in Senator Lugar’s office with one of his staffers later in the day. I did not attend that meeting as I chose to stay outside with the group and allow another leader to attend in my stead. I’ll let those who attended that meeting give the details.

At one point, a policeman pulled up, stopping in front of us, and got out of the car. My heart skipped a few beats because we did not apply for, nor did we have, a permit. I didn’t expect a large enough crowd to close down traffic, which is really the only time a permit is needed in Indianapolis. He came up to me after Mom pointed me out as an organizer and gave instructions not to hamper pedestrians’ walking or their entry into, or exit from, the building. We easily complied.

All in all, it was a great day and I feel like we accomplished a lot. IFIRE’s name was mentioned on television, free of charge, probably 10 to 20 times throughout the morning, and countless flyers were handed out to people as they walked by. That entire half of the block was OURS. There were no counter-protesters, and many people walking or driving by made no secret that they agreed with us. Quite a few promised to visit our website.

It was a long, tiring day for both Mom and I, but it was the good kind of tired you get after you’ve had a productive day. It reminded me of the feeling I have after working in the garden, when you sit back, tired to the core, and look at the fruits of all your hard work....so satisfying. There is not much fruit to sit back and enjoy yet, but in this, as in gardening, you must first plant the seeds, water them occasionally, and wait. We certainly planted seeds yesterday, watered those which were sprouting, and, if luck is on our side, we will see the fruits of our labor after a bit of waiting in the form of visits to the website, new members joining and more people speaking out. The parking ticket we found on our windshield didn’t detract from our positive feelings. We were able to meet new people and work with them for the betterment of our country. What’s more, we got to spend a day in the sunshine with these fine, patriotic folks. That, in and of itself, was worth more than all the traffic tickets in the world to me.

were three of us Minutemen there and we had some good
dialogue with the young people, and a few of the really

considerable controversy. And they say there will never

Outsourcing in the USA

Congress today announced that the office of President of the United States of America will be outsourced to India as of March 26th, 2006.The move is being made to save the President's $500,000 yearly salary, and also a record $521 trillion in deficit expenditures and related overhead the office has incurred during the last 5 years. "We believe this is a wise move financially. The cost savings should be significant," stated Congressman Thomas Reynolds (R-WA). Reynolds, with the aid of the Government Accounting Office, has studied outsourcing of American jobs extensively. "We cannot expect to remain competitive on the world stage with the current level of cash outlay," Reynolds noted. Mr. Bush was informed by email this morning of his termination. Preparations for the job move have been underway for sometime. Gurvinder Singh of Indus Teleservices, Mumbai, India will be assuming the office of President as of April 1, 2006. Mr. Singh was born in the United States while his Indian parents were vacationing at Niagara Falls, thus making him eligible for the position. He will receive a salary of $320 (USD) a month but with no health coverage or other benefits. It is believed that Mr. Singh will be able to handle his job responsibilities without a support staff due to the time difference between the US and India, he will be working primarily at night, when few offices of the US Government will be open. "Working nights will allow me to keep my day job at the Dell Computer Call Center," stated Mr. Singh in an exclusive interview. "I am excited about this position. I always hoped I would be President." A Congressional spokesperson noted that while Mr. Singh may not be fully aware of all the issues involved in the office of President, this should not be a problem because Bush was not familiar with the issues either. Mr. Singh will rely upon a script tree that will enable him to respond effectively to most topics of concern. Using these canned responses, he can address common concerns without having to understand the underlying issues at all. "We know these scripting tools work," stated the spokesperson. "President Bush has used them successfully for years." Bush will receive health coverage, expenses, and salary until his final day of employment. Following a two week waiting period, he will be eligible for $140 a week unemployment for 13 weeks. Unfortunately he will not be eligible for Medicaid, as his unemployment benefits will exceed the allowed limit. Mr. Bush has been provided the outplacement services of Manpower Inc. to help him write a resume and prepare for his up coming job transition. According to Manpower, Mr. Bush may have difficulties in securing a new position due to limited practical work experience. A greeter position at Wal-Mart was suggested due to Bush's extensive experience shaking hands and goofy smile.

Our response to the May 1st illegal alien tantrum:

Shop 'til you drop !

As you no doubt know, illegal aliens and their handlers plan to hold their next Senate intimidation rallies on May 1, better known as the Marxist holiday of “May Day.” The May Day campaign will consist of yet more anti-law-enforcement marches and a nationwide “boycott” of shopping. The aim of the boycott is to demonstrate the purchasing power of the 11 million immigration criminals demanding amnesty. The boycott will also include a general strike by immigration criminals, who are being encouraged to skip work that day. Now it appears that illegal aliens are here to just skip the jobs that no American is willing to skip.

If the boycott and strike are successful, this means that May 1 will be A DAY WITHOUT ILLEGAL ALIENS! Lines will be shorter. Clerks will all speak English. Businesses that have been honest enough to hire legal residents will be poised to finally enjoy a competitive advantage! It will be morning again in America. Every actual American should make a point to get out and support those businesses and counteract the criminal boycott movement.

Spend like a congressman! Spend like George W. Bush! Heck, spend like Teddy Kennedy on a junket to a distillers’ convention. Spend in freedom and order in a mall or Wal-Mart near you. I hereby declare May 1 to be a national holiday -- Conservative Shopping Day.

Show the doubters that a day without illegal aliens is not a crisis, it’s just a good start. And spread the word. Forward this notice or send out your own. Let it be shouted, in clear unaccented English, from every mountaintop and blog: SPEND, GRINGOS, SPEND!

Lastly, be sure to make note of which businesses can still function on a day without illegal aliens, so that you can patronize them everyday for a long time. Let’s turn the day without illegal aliens into an everyday thing.

This is what happened when 3 million illegals were given amnesty in 1986. At least two of the participants in the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center were permitted to remain in the US. Other criminals, whose crimes did not draw large headlines, were also allowed to remain.
Another amnesty will mean that more Americans will be harmed or die at the hands of such people. There is no way to check the backgrounds of 15 million people to know who is a threat.

Clergy see faith parallels in march
Immigrants often turn to church as place for help

Lupita Aguayo looks at her community of Hispanic immigrants and sees a similarity between their plight and Jesus' fate in the Easter story -- the innocent sacrificed to appease the politically powerful.
"He was tried like a criminal, the same like us," said Aguayo, a Mexican immigrant here on a work visa. "We are treated like criminals, and we are not criminals."
The Rev. Thomas Fox, a Catholic priest heavily involved in organizing Monday's immigration rally in Indianapolis, said the massive turnout was, in some ways, much like a voice from the tomb.
"To me, it is like a resurrection that people have come to life in a very strong and forceful way," he said.
That such a politically charged issue evokes deep, spiritual images for some reflects a key aspect of the immigrant cause in Indianapolis and elsewhere. It is a movement frequently led by religious leaders and anchored in churches.
"The most trusted (place) for people is the church," said the Rev. Samuel Ruiz, a Cuban immigrant who leads an alliance of Hispanic pastors in Indianapolis.
He said immigrants bring few possessions with them to America, but most bring an abiding faith. In the face of new laws regarding immigration, it is natural for them to turn to the church for help.
"It is the place people go to pray to God, to praise God and to ask for help," he said.
Ruiz and other Spanish-speaking clergy took to the airwaves of Hispanic radio stations in recent weeks to promote their cause, and they talked about it in their churches.
When the rally came to a head Monday -- the Monday of Holy Week, as it turned out by coincidence -- they were among those leading the multitudes.
"Jesus was a refugee himself as a baby," said Ruiz, referring to the holy family's flight to Egypt as described in the Gospels. "I think we need to recognize that all of us, at some point in our lives, are refugees."
The immigrant community has been stirred by recent proposals to make it a felony for immigrants to be here illegally, as well as to charge those who aid immigrants. Fear is spreading that families could be torn apart if undocumented parents are deported while their children, citizens by birth here, are left behind.
Religious leaders in the movement say they are driven by the most ancient writings in the Bible that call on people to reach out to strangers with food, clothing and hospitality. They refer also to New Testament passages in which Jesus directed his people to care for the poor, to aid those who are hurting and to love your neighbor as yourself.
Yet, around the faith community, others see competing spiritual imperatives at work in the immigration issue.
Curt Smith is president of the Indiana Family Institute, a parachurch organization that has regular contact with more than 1,000 Indiana churches. Smith said he never would discourage illegal immigrants from seeking medical care, food and clothing, but he said they also should report to government authorities and seek citizenship, even if it puts them at risk of being deported.
"Faith leaders need to strike a balance between encouraging people to follow the law, which is a strong biblical commandment, but also caring for the downtrodden and disadvantaged," Smith said.
While other ethnic groups were represented in Monday's immigration rally, the largest portion was Hispanic -- both documented and illegal.
The official Hispanic population has more than tripled in Marion County and surrounding counties since 1990, to nearly 43,000. Some say the number could be as many as 100,000 Hispanic immigrants here. Religious groups throughout the city have responded to meet their spiritual needs.
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis, which for years held one weekly Spanish Mass, now has 13 Spanish Masses at 10 parishes.
The alliance of Hispanic congregations Ruiz leads has more than 50 congregations from Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist and other denominations.
Elsewhere, churches have hired Spanish-speaking ministers to develop new congregations. Others reach out by providing food, clothing and English classes to poorer immigrants.
The Rev. Arturo Ocampo is the pastor at St. Patrick Catholic Church, a parish founded by Irish immigrants that was on the verge of closing until the influx of Hispanic immigrants gave it new life -- a resurrection of a different sort.
He reminds people that Catholics display the crucifix prominently in their churches to remind them that Christ continues to suffer, and that his church suffers, too.
"We are the body of Christ. We are the church," Ocampo said. "And right now, the body of Christ here in the United States of America is suffering the consequences of this whole thing of immigration."
Aguayo, who teaches Spanish at the International School of Indiana, said it's appropriate that Monday's march -- what many see as a watershed moment in the fight for immigrant rights -- happened to fall in the week leading up to Easter.
She hopes that -- like the Passion story itself -- difficult days have a happy ending.
"Jesus was sacrificed," she said. "He died for us, and then the liberty came. We want to work. We want to have a better life for our children. We are looking for a better future."

Taxpayer Education Day, April 17, 2006
After Action Report

Mom and I arrived close to the post office at about 4:45 p.m. We hurriedly walked the two and one-half blocks to the west side of the building. Much to our surprise, someone was already there handing out flyers. It was IFIRE member, Ron! We all introduced ourselves and got right back down to the business of handing out flyers.

I brought four signs and ten flags. One sign said, “Pay Your Taxes! Illegal Aliens Need Them.” Another said, “Taxes too High? Here’s why.” The last two said, “$50,000,000,000 That’s how much YOU PAY for illegal aliens!” and “HONK if you support ending illegal immigration.” Mom held the “Pay Your Taxes” sign while Ron and I passed out flyers. It wasn’t long before other IFIRE members started showing up. Seven members attended. There were just enough people to hold all four signs, while two passed out flyers, and Glenda, our photographer and my friend, took pictures.

By and large, the responses we received were positive. However, there were some who were openly opposed to us. One common thread throughout the negative responses and arguments is that they were clearly arguments based on emotion, not logic.

For instance, the most commonly uttered argument issued from people waiting in line to pay their taxes was, “Do you speak Indian? Are you an American Indian? If not, you’re here because of immigrants.” I would mention at every opportunity that immigrants from the past didn’t come here with their hands out, which they seemed all too happy to ignore.

One lady was visibly upset and kept uttering, “That’s disgusting!” She then leaned out her window and screeched, “Do you shop at Walmart?!” I do, am not ashamed to say it, and told her. She said that if I would stop shopping there, pay “real prices” for things, companies would have no need to hire illegal immigrants. There you have it, folks. The true culprit of this illegal invasion is the EEEEEEEVIL Walmart and those who shop there! *eyeroll*

Another lady took a flyer, started reading it, then became visibly upset, crumbling the flyer and throwing it out onto the sidewalk. I said, “Uh, that’s littering.” Mom just put her foot on it and said, “That’s okay.” The lady screamed out her window, “God loves them too!” and we all agreed, pointing out that no one had suggested otherwise. She ignored us.

One young man read our signs as he was waiting in line and started bellowing at the top of his lungs, “Let’s hate everyone! Let’s be against everyone who’s different!” I told him, “I don’t hate anyone. Do you?” He felt it better not to answer and drove on toward the mailboxes.

Those who were appreciative of our efforts were gracious and told us that they supported us. Some blared their horns while waiting in line. Other cars honked as they drove past. We received countless thumbs up, but not one mid-finger salute! One smartly dressed woman read the sign I was holding, the “$50 billion” sign, and stopped. She said, “WOW! My taxes are higher than they should be and I’m helping to pay that?! I had no idea!” Had no one else said a word to us, her response alone would have made the time and effort worthwhile, in my opinion. She was truly shocked.

I use every event as an opportunity to learn, and this one was no exception. I learned, or, the more appropriate term is probably that it was confirmed for me, that some people are content with their own ideas, whether they be fact-based or not. If people are more comfortable believing illegal aliens only come here to work, that they do not use taxpayer funded services, or that we do what we do because of “hatred,” nothing anyone can say or do will change their minds because their minds aren’t interested in knowing the truth. Their overriding concern is merely their comfort. Also, I now consider it a mission to learn some kind of basic Indian language so that I can respond to such emotionally based arguments as we were given in Cherokee, Apache, or the like. I can’t wait to see their jaws drop when I do and I hope Glenda is around to capture the moment on film. The last thing I learned is that, at every function, someone should have a large sign with the organization’s name and website information on it. We didn’t and I wished many, many times that I had made one to bring.

It was a positive experience. The postal employees were accommodating and some even asked for flyers. Every postal truck leaving the facility, with the exception of one, honked their air horns upon reading our “HONK” sign. We had 500 flyers and ran out shortly before 6:30 p.m., at which point we simply held our signs for the benefit of passersby. We would mention www.ifire.org to those who were supportive of us and apologize for having run out of flyers. Many promised to visit our website.

I would like to, again, thank Ron, Glenda, Gena, Mary, Joanne, and my Mom, Edytha, for their participation and hard work. I look forward to educating the public alongside these fine folks in the near future and hope to meet many more of you as time goes on.

GET THE WORD OUT TO ALL AMERICANS!

On May 1st, Enrique Morones and his fellow agents of Mexico (with the full blessing of Vincente Fox) have promised to shut down the American economy and sea ports for a whole day by having every illegal alien and their supporters stay home from work and school that day and not buy anything. This is a most Un-American and outrageous way to demand unconditional amnesty for illegal aliens.

To counter this subversive action, Americans have come up with their own plan for that day:

Millions of American homeowners employ foreign housekeepers and gardeners every week. Most of them have never asked to see legal documents. We just assume or hope they are here legally, but of course we know that a great many of them are not.

On May 1st, DEMAND that they show their legal documentation. If they can't provide it, do the right thing and say what Donald Trump says, "YOU'RE FIRED"! If everyone in America did this on May 1st, the lines would begin forming going back south to Mexico and other countries. If our government won't solve the illegal immigration problem, then it is up to us to make those tough choices and turn off the jobs that bring them here in the first place.

The downside? You might have to wash your own dishes, vacuum, and mow that lawn yourself until you find a neighbor kid or a legal resident to take the place of the illegal to do your manual labor.

"You are either part of the solution or part of the problem"....... Which are you? Everyone needs to do their part.

P.S. If your nanny is here illegally, replace her with a legal resident too.

The Mexican solution

(Washington, D.C.): The Congress has received lots of free advice lately from Mexican government officials and illegal aliens waving Mexico's flag in mass demonstrations coast-to-coast. Most of it takes the form of bitter complaints about our actual or prospective treatment of immigrants from that country who have gotten into this one illegally - or who aspire to do so.
If you think these critics are mad about U.S. immigration policy now, imagine how upset they would be if we adopted an approach far more radical than the bill they rail against which was adopted last year by the House of Representatives - namely, the way Mexico treats illegal aliens.

In fact, as a just-published paper by the Center for Security Policy's J. Michael Waller points out, under a constitution first adopted in 1917 and subsequently amended, Mexico deals harshly not only with illegal immigrants. It treats even legal immigrants, naturalized citizens and foreign investors in ways that would, by the standards of those who carp about U.S. immigration policy, have to be called "racist" and "xenophobic."

Mexico's Glass House

For example, according to an official translation published by the Organization of American States, the Mexican constitution includes the following restrictions:

Pursuant to Article 33, "Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country." This ban applies, among other things, to participation in demonstrations and the expression of opinions in public about domestic politics like those much in evidence in Los Angeles, New York and elsewhere in recent days.

Equal employment rights are denied to immigrants, even legal ones. Article 32: "Mexicans shall have priority over foreigners under equality of circumstances for all classes of concessions and for all employment, positions, or commissions of the Government in which the status of citizenship is not indispensable."

Jobs for which Mexican citizenship is considered "indispensable" include, pursuant to Article 32, bans on foreigners, immigrants, and even naturalized citizens of Mexico serving as military officers, Mexican-flagged ship and airline crew, and chiefs of seaports and airports.

Article 55 denies immigrants the right to become federal lawmakers. A Mexican congressman or senator must be "a Mexican citizen by birth." Article 91 further stipulates that immigrants may never aspire to become cabinet officers as they are required to be Mexican by birth. Article 95 says the same about Supreme Court justices.

In accordance with Article 130, immigrants - even legal ones - may not become members of the clergy, either.

Foreigners, to say nothing of illegal immigrants, are denied fundamental property rights. For example, Article 27 states, "Only Mexicans by birth or naturalization and Mexican companies have the right to acquire ownership of lands, waters, and their appurtenances, or to obtain concessions for the exploitation of mines or of waters."

Article 11 guarantees federal protection against "undesirable aliens resident in the country." What is more, private individuals are authorized to make citizen's arrests. Article 16 states, "In cases of flagrante delicto, any person may arrest the offender and his accomplices, turning them over without delay to the nearest authorities." In other words, Mexico grants its citizens the right to arrest illegal aliens and hand them over to police for prosecution. Imagine the Minutemen exercising such a right!

The Mexican constitution states that foreigners - not just illegal immigrants - may be expelled for any reason and without due process. According to Article 33, "the Federal Executive shall have the exclusive power to compel any foreigner whose remaining he may deem inexpedient to abandon the national territory immediately and without the necessity of previous legal action."

The Bottom Line

As the immigration debate in the Senate moves into a decisive phase this week, legislators who believe America's southern border must be secured, the Nation's existing immigration laws enforced and illegal aliens not rewarded with permanent residency and a direct path to citizenship are being sharply criticized and, in some cases, defamed as bigots and xenophobes. Yet, even their maximalist positions generally pale in comparison with the treatment authorized by the Mexican constitution.

So the next time such legislators - and the majority of Americans for whom they speak - are assaulted by Mexican officials, undocumented aliens waving Mexican flags in mass demonstrations here in the United States, clergy and self-described humanitarians, businessmen and other advocates of illegal immigration ask them this: Would they favor having the U.S. impose the same restrictions on immigrants - legal and illegal - that Mexico imposes on their counterparts there?

Nothing of the kind is in the cards, of course. Nor should it be. Legal immigration and the opportunity for foreign investors and other nationals legitimately to contribute to this country are not only one of its hallmarks; they are among the reasons for its greatness.

Still, we should not allow the hypocrisy of others' treatment of undocumented aliens in their countries to induce us to refrain from taking effective steps to prevent further illegal immigration: by building a fence along our southern border; by enforcing immigration laws in the workplace and elsewhere; and by discouraging more such violations - with potentially grave national security implications - by dealing effectively with those who have already broken those laws by coming here without permission.

Mayor Bloomberg is a billionaire but he wants American taxpayers to foot the bill so he can have a pretty golf course? Senator Lindsey Graham recently made a similar comment to the 9/11 Families for a Secure America. He told them he liked the fact that illegals kept the price of greens fees down because he loves to golf. This makes me want to hurl! As far as I'm concerned, the filthy rich whom we have elected to office should be able to pay for their own gardeners, nannies, chauffeurs and housekkeepers without stuffing their grubby paws into the taxpayers' pockets! And what do they have against hiring Americans to do these jobs, anyway?!

So they want to golf?? I say, let's vote all of these greedy elites out of office so they have less time to ruin our lives and more time to golf.--HoosierMama?

Bloomberg: Illegal immigrants help golfers

NEW YORK, April 1 (UPI) -- New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says golf fairways would suffer if illegal immigrants were returned to their native country.

"You and I are beneficiaries of these jobs," Bloomberg told his WABC-AM radio co-host, John Gambling. "You and I both play golf; who takes care of the greens and the fairways in your golf course?"

However, Robert Heaney, general manager of Deepdale Golf Club -- a Long Island course where Bloomberg often plays -- told The New York Daily News that no illegal immigrants work at the club.

"Deepdale Golf Club has always been in 100 percent compliance with all immigration laws, and it is absolutely our policy to remain in compliance with all immigration laws," Heaney said.

The mayor also said 25 percent of undocumented immigrants are farm workers and many are home healthcare workers.

"Nobody wants to deport them, in the end, because people need them to take these jobs and do the things that nobody else is doing," Bloomberg said.

Undocumented Welder Topples Spanish Language Radio Towers

Arizona Spanish language radio station KMIA-AM (710) was knocked off the air this week when one or more undocumented welders used a blow torch to'cut the steel support rods on four 197-foot tall radio towers, toppling'them to the ground. Damage is estimated in the millions of dollars and the station expects'to be off the air for several weeks.

Station manager Tom Duran said he'was not sure if the unauthorized toppling of the radio towers was'related to this week's massive marches by illegal aliens and their supporters, which were organized in large part by Spanish language radio stations. Mr. Duran added, "It's disheartening to know that somebody would do damage like this to a federally licensed facility."

I agree with Mr. Duran, you can't have people wandering the Arizona countryside in the dead of night violating federal laws. Unless, of course, those people are foreigners violating federal immigration, identification, tax, and employment laws by sneaking into our country,and working illegally, off the books, under fake names and Social Security numbers in the unregulated underground economy.

On the other hand, rebuilding the radio towers will contribute to the American economy and towers can be legally demolished by those with the proper paperwork. So perhaps the real problem here is simply that the aspiring welder did not have such documentation, which is often difficult for poor or uneducated people to come by.

Also of great concern was the fact that, because of his undocumented status, the so-called "illegal" welder was forced to work "in the shadows" in a dangerous desert environment. No word on if "humanitarian" groups or church officials plan to begin providing water and acetylene near other radio towers in the area. Butit is just a matter of time before some poor soul seeking a better lifewithout unsightly radio towers is killed while journeying through the remote and hostile locations in which unauthorized tower demolition work can be found.

Clearly, the time is now for comprehensive radio tower demolitionreform. We cannot just enforce existing laws against destruction of property and expect this problem to go away. Some provision must be madefor the undocumented welders among us to come out of the shadows and receive full welding certification, at government expense. Although the most enlightened thing would be to fully amnesty the undocumented steel cutters (many of whom are our neighbors, after all), middle America may not be sophisticated enough to understand this.

So I would like to suggest a Comprehensive Undocumented Torch Manipulator and Operator Reform bill (the CUTMOR bill) modeled on theMcCain-Kennedy-Specter plan for reforming our immigration system. Those who can prove they demolished radio towers prior to Jan. 1, 2007, will be able to pay a $500 fine and receive "temporary guest welder"status in our country. The fine means it is NOT an amnesty, and that should help sell it to the Weldo-phobic rubes that are not as smart as the proponents of full amnesty. Those guest welders who stay employed and un-convicted of any crimes they commit for a period of three years, can have their status renewed and then be put on the path toward master welder certification.

Now, there are many who will say that the CUTMOR bill would simply reward lawbreakers and encourage others to violate laws in the future. But these people are not aware of how our modern economy truly operates or how outdated law "enforcement" is in the new global reality. If we want fewer towers cut down tomorrow, we must amnesty those who cut down towers today. That is the only comprehensive solution. Welders built this country. It would be un-American not to let them tear it down. --

MR. PRESIDENT, I'M HEADED TO MEXICO

Dear President Bush:

I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this.

I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here.

So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don’t enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy. [or I will call them mean anti-American, xenophobic racists.]

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.

Senator Ted Kennedy was on 'Face the Nation' today and said that he would fight any enforcement only bill that comes before the Senate. He complained, "We have spent $20 BILLION on chains and fences and border guards and dogs in the southern border over the last 10 years and it doesn't work!" At the same time, half a million or more illegals and their supporters - labor unions and the Catholic Church - took to the streets in Los Angeles.

Let Senator Kennedy know that we spend more than $20 BILLION every single year to pay for illegal aliens. Perhaps if we had spent the necessary money to build a fence years ago, we wouldn't have the current problem. This might be a good time to also remind him that he was WRONG on immigration in 1965, when he voted to change immigration laws and said:

"The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs." (U.S. Senate, Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization of the Committee on the Judiciary, Washington, D.C., Feb. 10, 1965. pp. 1-3.)

What a great sight! Yesterday, a racist and his communist Atzlander friends showed up late for the Minuteman rally in Fullerton. I guess there weren't too happy about sitting at the Santa Ana Mexican Consulate in the rain by themselves waiting for our rally there (a false announcement had been sent out earlier in the week) so when they arrived in Fullerton they tried to hassle our ralliers. This racist approached and kicked one of our peaceful Minuteman ralliers, the police were called, and the result above was captured on film.

Great work Minutemen! Expose these violent, anti-American racists for who they are. Racists and their gangs like to yell out that:
"California was once Mexico and still is. Whites go back to Europe".

Thank you Fullerton PD for protecting American Citizens from this racism in our society. Unfortunately, racists gangs and their friends are equally ignorant of how the United States of America works. Watch for racist to become more violent as American citizens demand better border security and stronger immigration policies.

Rejoice in this small victory for the United States of America!

We had a lot of fun. Our protest went from 11-2 and was very eventful.

We told numerous visitors that the consulate was closed on Saturday so they would have to come back. We also told them that Matricular Cards are not legal ID here or in Mexico.

We had three patrol cars stop and question our intentions and try to tell us that we needed a permit. Our leader knew the law better than the officers and they had to eventually back down. We also had a brown beret and her body guard walk buy reporting all of our activity on her cell phone.

Most people driving by were supportive, honking and waving. We had the usual amount of fingers. Attached find a picture of our group. In our unity we will accomplish what we must. Jeanne, Event Coordinator, Secured Borders, U.S.A

Just got back from our protest in front of the Mexican Consulate....I was expecting trouble, since the area is heavily latino & overall apretty rough neighborhood. It used to be Chicago's "skid row"Anyway, the goons never materialized. There were a few cop cars stationed about, but they left after an hour. The Consulate itself was closed, but there were people inside, watching us. Signs covered the doors (in spanish of course) telling illegals to come & get ID. And another big, prominent sign that read "United Statesof Mexico", or something to that affect. The gall of these intruders is unbelievable!

We had a good crowd today, over 20 protestors, with many new faces. It was amazing to meet them & hear what they had to say, as they're very well informed. We got tons of honks & thumbs up signs from many black Americans, & I spoke to a few blacks walking past, & every one of them listened to me, agreed with me & said they'd try to educate their family & friends. And they THANKED US! That felt good. I also gave them a flyer & told them to please join us, as we're fighting for them & all Americans. We also had a few latino Americans honk & give us the thumbs up, which was heartening. But, we also had many gving us the finger & screaming profanity at us. One truck went by & they threw hard candy at us, hitting an older protestor in the side of the face. They're nothing but cowards.

Oh, on a funny note, a latino fellow, who I assume must be an illegal because he came to the Consulate to get an ID & didn't speak a word of English, was asking us (in Spanish) if they were closed. We kept telling him yes, but it was obvious he had no idea what we were saying. So Rick told him to join us, motioning for him to come & hold a sign & an American flag. We took some pictures of that. Pretty funny.

So, overall a successful protest. As it was in a down trodden neighborhood, we didn't have much exposure to the voting public, but we made our point to the Consulate. And that point was we know what you're doing & we're going to expose you. I'll try to get more reports from the other protests around the country. If I do I'll post them here. By the way, a few people took some photos which they'll send to me. I'llpost them ASAP--

Mom, my niece, Kenzie, and I arrived downtown at about 10:20 a.m. We parked and walked to the address listed for the Mexican Consulate, 39 W. Jackson Place. The doors were all locked, and to one side, there was a sign which said, in both Spanish and English, to get the Mexican Consulate, walk east around the corner of the building, and then east again until we came to the intersection of Meridian and Louisiana streets. We did so, leaving our signs in the car until we found the precise place we needed to be.

At that corner, there were several entrances to Union Station and a Mexican restaurant. I tried the doors there until I found one open. In we went. I wanted to see where the Consulate was physically located inside the building. A guard jumped up from his cubicle and said, “I’m sorry. We’re closed. You can’t come in here.”

I said, “We’re looking for the Mexican Consulate,” to which he replied that it was closed, as was that particular entrance to Union Station, because of a protest that was supposed to take place today. I inquired about the reason for the protest. He said people were coming to protest because they were angry that the Mexican Consulate was not open enough. He said, “I don’t understand why they’re doing that, either. They’re open Monday through Friday, and a lot of times, on Saturday.” I asked if they were always open on Saturdays and he said not always, but that he was told they were specifically closed today because of the planned protest. I asked where the Consulate was. He pointed it out to us. It is right next to his cubicle.

Then I told him who I was, our reason for being there and what the protest was about. He asked what we meant by “meddling,” and I told him. He said, “Wow, every American should be out there joining you!” I agreed and invited him to join us if his shift ended or if he was able to take a break. He said he would, but he was worried about his working environment if people working at the Consulate got wind that he had joined the protest, which was completely understandable.

Glenda showed up and joined us at about that time. We all stood there, just inside the entrance, talking to the guard, a very nice man who came here from New Orleans after losing everything he owned to Hurricane Katrina. I gave him a hug when I found that out, thankful that he had not been hurt and that he only had to deal with the loss of material things. He was a very sweet man.

He was angered upon learning that illegal aliens are flocking to New Orleans to rebuild that city, as Glenda pointed out to him. He made it a point to state that he wasn’t racist (he is African American), but he felt the immigration situation was out of control. I told him that none of us were racists, just ordinary Americans who are fed up with the lack of enforcement and response to this crisis, people who are put in the position of defending ourselves because we’re always labeled “racists.” He was under the impression that people came to the Consulate to acquire papers making them “legal,” and referred to the matricula card. I informed him of the process for legal entry to this country, that the matricular card was supposed to serve as ID for illegal aliens in some venues, and said that while Mexico calls us racist for not accepting the matricula as valid ID in every American institution, it is not accepted as valid ID in Mexico. He said he had no idea and kept shaking his head. He had to unlock a door inside for an employee, so that is when we took to the streets. People started showing up left and right then. Eventually, there were 20 of us spread out on both corners of Louisiana Street.

The event was, for the most part, uneventful. It was peaceful and there were no counter-protesters. There was a photographer, AJ, from the NW Times, I believe, a reporter from the Indianapolis Star, a filming crew from Goshen College, and, of course, my long-time friend and photographer, Glenda. Several people honked in response to Cheree’s and Gretchen’s signs which said, “HONK if you support ending illegal immigration,” or something to that effect. Unfortunately, the intersection wasn’t all that busy, so we know to pick a different place the next time we hold a demonstration. There were a couple of people who made snide remarks and comments to Cheree as they walked by, but I’ll let her tell you about those. She also made it a point to go over to talk to the police who were parked a half a block away to watch us. She said they seemed distrusting, not overly nice, and they said they “expected” trouble. Fortunately, their expectations were not met.

The reporter from the Indianapolis Star hung around most of the time we were there. After asking him if he had received a flyer, I said, “Okay, off the record…American to American. Doesn’t that make you angry,” referring to the information in the flyer. He said, “Yes. It makes you wonder why the government is allowing it to happen.” After some time had passed, I asked him if he was aware that he was witnessing an “extremist event.” He said, “What?” I said, “Yeah, according to the Anti-Defamation League, this is an ‘extremist’ event held by ‘vigilantes.’” He chuckled and said, “You guys are BORING! What do they mean ‘extremist’?” Indeed, we were boring in that the only attention we garnered was, for the most part, positive. Still we met new people and we had fun just sharing our time with each other today. It was a little chilly, but the sun was warm. The important thing is: We took a stand today to make our voices heard and shared information with passers-by that will, hopefully, compel them to investigate the issue of illegal immigration further and join us. People traveled from far northern Indiana to be here...Greg Serbon and his friend; Cheree Calabro and her husband; another gentleman, Don I believe is his name, and three lovely ladies who rode with him. Others came from the south, from Greenwood and Columbus. One man came because he recently moved here from California, knows firsthand the detrimental effects of rampant illegal immigration, and supports what we're doing 100%. I wish now that I had taken everyone's name down so that I could thank them properly. Alas, I did not. I'm still new at this and learning as I go along. I won't forget again! As always, my Mom, Edytha Hall, came with me, bringing Kenzie, who loves to attend "Aunt Tuta's protest thingys" when she can. Glenda, as always, was working the crowd with her camera, silently walking hither and yon to capture great pictures, many of which you will see soon.

It is my hope that many, many more will join us in taking a stand in the near future. I know some of you wanted to be there today, but couldn’t. Don’t fret! Just know that there WILL be a next time and we hope to meet you then!
